Swiss Casino Heist
French and Swiss police have launched a manhunt after a Swiss Casino heist at the Grand Casino, Basle at the weekend. Armed robbers forced their way in with a sledgehammer and then proceeded to make off with hundreds of thousands of Euros. The casino is just a few hundred yards from the French border and witnesses at the casino reported that the robbers spoke in French. It’s the second major heist at a European Casino this month after robbers held up a Berlin Poker tournament earlier in the month.
Both French and Swiss police are now involved in the hunt for the robbers who made off with hundreds of thousands of Euros during the heist in one of the busiest casinos in Europe. There were about 600 players in the casino at the time of the heist. Luckily no one was injured even though several shots were fired.
